Let your visitors become members, upload their pictures and enter their personal
information. Give them profiles that can be searched or browsed by other members.
Your site can be about any topic. It can be an organizational site, a matchmaking
site, a model searching site, an alumni community site or a simple company contact
book. No matter what kind of community you have, you will be able to customize
and benefit from Profile Manager Premium.
Creating an Account:
Customize your registration form for your own data fields. Some webmasters
choose to have a small registration page, while others would prefer a large
form. Or even create a multi page registration form so that you would have a
simple, easy-to-fill registration process. Some database fields can be made
required so that any user trying to create an account must enter them. Profile
Manager Premium will automatically fill some other fields such as registration
date and IP address of the user.

The best part is that you can do all these configurations through a web based
administration application. Let’s say, you would like to create a database
field called “education level”. First log on to your admin application
and go to database-fields section. Using a wizard, choose what type of field
you would like to add and you will be done in seconds. In this case, you will
probably create a selectable drop down menu with various education levels.
PM Premium supports all types of HTML form fields:
Text Field
Text Area
Pull down Menu
Radio Button
Check Box
Picture Upload
Password Field
Hidden Field
When your visitors create an account, they will receive an email with their
login and password information. Customize this email with own letter for new
members. Don’t forget to ask them to save the email as a reminder of
their account. After they save this email, they will remember your site in
the future.
Approval:
Use PM Premium admin application to approve or disapprove members. PM Premium
can also be configured to approve all members automatically. There are three
levels of approval that you can choose to make use of in your membership pages.
1. All parts of the site require approval.
2. Some parts of the site require approval.
3. No part of the site requires approval.
In the first case, any visitor trying to create an account will have to
wait for you to approve their account. She will have a login and password,
but she will not be able to login to her account. If she tries to login without
approval, an error message will tell her that she will have to wait until
she is approved. When a user is approved, she will automatically receive an
email. This letter also can be easily customized.
In the second case, your members will be able to access to the membership
pages. They will be able to prepare their account, upload pictures, and any
other features that you let them to access. However, they will not be able
to access approval required pages until you approve them.
In the last case, any visitor can create an account and access to all features
without waiting for you to manually approve them. However, you can still disapprove
members later.

PM Premium is about choice! Choose the approval level you would like to
use depending on your site circumstances.
Uploading Pictures:

One of the
most popular features of PM Premium is that it lets you have your users post
their picture(s) on their profile. There is no limit on how many pictures
you can allow your visitors other than your available disk space on your server.
You can create additional pages for some picture or create mini photo albums.
Now, PM Premium 2 allows you to thumbnail pictures. You can place thumbnails
of the user-uploaded pictures in predefined width and height on user profiles,
and link them to full-sized picture. Another new feature allows you to automatically
add text on the images. You can add your www.domain.com text on the uploaded
pictures. Note that, to enable these image manipulation features, you may
have to ask your hosting company to install ImageMagick on your server.
Static Profile URLs:
Some of your users may want to put their profile URL into their email and
forum signatures, or even to their business cards. As a bonus, search engines
love to index static URLs. A nice little feature of PM Premium allows you
to define a directory to have user static profile pages to be created automatically.
Your members can now have addresses like http://www.yourdomain.com/profiles/loginname.
An Intuitive Password Retrieval:
When one of your members forgets her password, she can fill out a form to
get it emailed. PM Premium password recovery form is so smart that you can
type login or email address and it will figure out who you are and email the
password quickly.
Change Password:
PM Premium can be configured to email a random password to your members
when they register. Otherwise you can simply let them enter their passwords
on registration. The choice is yours. In any condition, they will always be
able to login to their account and change password from a separate page on
the membership area.
Delete Account:
If a user wants to leave and wants her information and profile erased, they
don’t have to bother you. You can place a delete account link on the
member area. Don’t worry, if they accidentally click on this link, they
will be asked for confirmation.
