Admin Tour

Profile Manager Premium provides webmasters with the most flexible solution for building membership and community sites. Lets start with a tour of the powerful PM Premium admin panel.

Upon entering the admin panel, we brought to the Dashboard. This page has some snapshot information about our users and the system. The member statistics section shows us some some important information about our membership database, such as how many members we have, how many members are waiting approval, new member and login counts. The online members section displays a list of members currently online. The server information section provides us some information about our web server.

There are six main area in our admin panel located at the top of the screen

• The USERS section provides the tools we need to manage our members.
• The TEMPLATES section helps with design and content customizations.
• The DATABASE section provides ways to maintain and export our membership database.
• The PAYMENT section provides access to the financial information and reports payment activities of our members.
• The SETUP section provides powerfull tools to customize, build and integrate our membership system.
• The PREFERENCES section gives us the ability to configure and customize PM Premium.

Lets take a detailed look at the users section. Beginning with the Manage Users page. On this page we can see a list of all existing users. We are given many options here such as searching, modifying, deleting, and logging in to user accounts.

Approval page allows us to approve or disapprove members access to the system. We can also automatically send a personalized approval email when we approve someone.

Message Center let's us send personalized emails or messages to our members.

Logins, searches and tracking provides us with logs to track what is happening in our membership site. Who has logged on recently, what are people searching for and even a complete trail of user activity.

The Template area gives us control over the look and feel of the site design. PM Premium is template based application. We can open our templates in our favorite HTML editor such as FrontPage or DreamWeaver. Additionally, we can perform edits to the template directly in the web browser, we can add new templates, and we can search and replace within templates. Template rules allow us to modify the behavior of the application based on the type of user.

The database area allows us to backup and restore the database. You can import users accounts into the database. Additionally, you can export data in different formats such as excel or csv.

The Payment area displays the financial information of the system. The Subscription section provides us with details of the subscriptions, it also allows us to edit or add subscriptions and payments. The Expiring section displays subscriptions expiring this month. The reports section displays revenue totals for different types of subscriptions. Finally the Log section shows us the most recent payment activities

The setup area allows us to make changes to the system. The fields section gives us the ability to modify user profile information. The applications section allows us to build simple web applications that your members can use. The search forms section provides us with a wizard that lets us add search forms to the pages the users see. The includes section gives us the ability to display statistical information to the users such as the number of members online. The categories section allows us to add a directory of sections that the members will see. The payments section allows us to setup subscription and payment forms. phpBB section allows us to integrate our membership database with a phpBB forum database. The Rating and Review section allows us to setup profile review and rating functionality for members.
